See the world your way… without touching your phone
A camera in the frame, open-ear speakers and a smart assistant that answers “Hey Meta”. These are Meta smart glasses (Ray-Ban Meta), and at Barakat Optical we are following them closely and exploring bringing them to you with prescription-lens service.
The short versionWhat are Meta smart glasses?
They look like ordinary Ray-Ban or Oakley glasses, but hide a camera, microphones, tiny speakers and a processor linked to your phone. Take photos and video of what you see, make calls, play music and ask the Meta AI assistant questions by voice, all while holding your coffee or riding your bike.

As of this writing (October 2026) Meta has not announced an official launch in the Kingdom. Some online stores already list them and ship from abroad at widely varying prices (we saw listings from roughly SAR 1,500 to 2,700).
- Is there a warranty and after-sales service inside the Kingdom?
- Will every feature and the Meta AI app work in your region, and is Arabic supported? (Languages and features vary by country and update.)
- Can prescription lenses be fitted to this exact frame?
- What is the return and exchange policy if the fit is wrong?
Why we are excited at Barakat Optical
A smart pair of glasses is still glasses first: the right fit, accurate lenses and all-day comfort. That is what we have done since 1980. We would love to be your first stop for Meta glasses when they are available, with a free eye exam and prescription lenses fitted by a specialist. There is currently no confirmed date, price or model list, and the number of people who register helps us decide.
Smart with styleUse them responsibly
- A small light turns on when recording so people nearby know. Never cover it.
- Ask permission before filming people; Saudi privacy rules are strict.
- Do not record where filming is banned, such as hospitals, schools and some government buildings.
- Review the privacy settings in the Meta AI app and what is stored from your voice recordings.
